To fill your home with the spirit of Christmas, it’s not enough to just decorate the tree. There are a thousand and one ways to make your holiday decorations as enjoyable as possible. We give you little tips that you may have missed in these few lines.
Decorate the Fireplace
Place an LED strip or light garland on the inside, outside or both edges of your classic fireplace. On the wall where your family photos hang, hang paper or cardboard snowflakes, stars, socks or mini-trees to further decorate the space. Gather some gold, silver or pink candles there to add more decoration.
Place LED Ribbon Everywhere
People are used to putting it on window sills, shelves, bookcases, countertops to light up while doing so, so feel free. This also has a good effect on stairs. To do this, start from the top down. Thread the garland between the bars from the inside out, and wrap the rest on the counter. If you still have it, do the same with the full length ramp. Handle the bulbs carefully so they don’t stop working. If you have columns or railings, decorate them with garlands. Consider placing them on your patio or balcony.
Hang Christmas Stockings at the Dining Table
If you don’t have a lot of space, you can hang socks around the dining table and put spoons, forks, knives and napkins inside. Otherwise, you can also slip in treats for the attention of guests, who will be pleasantly surprised and treat themselves when they want to. This gets them away from their former place, which is the chimney. Also put some on the walls.
Decorate Windows
It is customary for families to decorate even their windows. Thus, they put up Christmas stickers, Christmas trees and little cotton-wool angels, little golden messages like “Merry Christmas.” Many people prefer to place figurines on window sills or on the balcony.
Make Your Own Decorations
Dare to keep it simple. There is no need to go broke or spend hours decorating your home for Christmas. Take a small serving dish, sprinkle it with fruit and pine leaves, put balloons and candles of all colors in it, and you’re ready with your Christmas decorations. Then all you have to do is put them, for example, on the TV cabinet, on the table or on the shelves.
Decorate the Doors
In addition to hanging Christmas wreaths on doors, some people even go so far as to have mini gift bags to hang on the handles. To do this, take small, commercially available gift bags of ornaments and gold thread. Tie them together, then wrap the wire in the middle two or three times around the door knob and leave the harnesses hanging in the air.
